FAT TRANSFER BREAST ENHANCEMENT

Liposuction fat removal and fat transfers are considered low-risk, but some are present that should be considered by all candidates. Minor side effects common after AirSculpt® and any surgical procedure include bruising, swelling, numbness, itchiness, and skin irritation, all of which should subside as recovery progresses. Because AirSculpt® does not use general anaesthesia, patients avoid the associated risks like cardiac and respiratory issues and deep vein thrombosis. 

More rare outcomes like infection, haematoma, skin or fat necrosis, fluid loss, and undesired results like too much fat removed, uneven results, or rippled skin are unlikely but possible. Nonetheless, the chances of these complications developing are reduced with the use of AirSculpt® devices, which are much more automated and gentle than traditional liposuction. 

All procedures offered by Elite Body Sculpture are performed with patients fully awake. Treatments last anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on the size of the areas treated, how much fat is removed, and whether a fat transfer or skin tightening are also included. 

AirSculpt® procedures begin with a needleless device called a jet injector, which numbs the skin of treated areas via air pressure differentials. Next, an entry point is created on the treatment site(s) with a biopsy punch. This tool is two millimeters in diameter and allows surgeons to make a symmetrical entryway with a twisting motion rather than cutting the skin with a scalpel. A solution is injected into the target regions to numb the fat and prepare it for extraction, and then the fat removal process can commence. 

Using a fine cannula, the surgeon will remove subcutaneous fat with suction. Once the procedure is completed, the area is left to heal naturally without stitches. Patients are provided a custom-fitting compression garment to be worn for a few weeks to preserve desired contours and minimize swelling and bandages to help with leaking. 

If a fat transfer is also included, fat will be collected and cleansed in specialized canisters to ensure only high-quality material is injected into target areas. The same numbing and entry point creation steps detailed above are repeated on the region needed enhancement, with patients always remaining awake during all AirSculpt® treatments.

Most patients require about 48 hours of downtime, on average. Many feel comfortable returning to their daily routines after this period. However, bruising, swelling, and some pain may remain for a couple of weeks. These are all managed with standard medication prescribed by the surgeon. 

A surgical scrub will be provided to cleanse the entry point site at the 48-hour post-op mark. Fat transfer recipients should also use the antiseptic cleanser given by the practice for three weeks or however long is recommended by their surgeon. These steps will help reduce the infection risk and facilitate the healing process.

Patients are instructed to begin taking walks as soon as possible after their procedure to promote better circulation. The surgeon will provide details regarding showering, changing dressings, and other procedure-specific instructions. Fat transfer recipients should avoid sleeping, sitting, or putting pressure on the augmented area. 

Although results should be apparent within the first few days or weeks after the procedure, final changes require between three and six months to develop. Entry points wind up resembling freckle-sized blemishes if they remain, depending on the patient’s inherent tendency to scar.

All patients can return home on the same day as the procedure. Although AirSculpt® does not use a general anaesthetic, patients cannot drive home on their own.   

Once adults are fully mature, fat cells do not regenerate once removed. This means that liposuction permanently reduces fat cells in treated areas. That said, if a patient gains weight post-procedure, fat can quickly appear in untreated areas, and the remaining fat cells in treatment sites can re-expand. These facts underscore the importance of maintaining a healthy weight through a stable diet and exercise following surgery to preserve the results.
